About the California Lottery

The California Lottery (http://www.calottery.com) was created in 1985 after 58% of California voters approved Proposition 37, the California State Lottery Act. The Act provides that at least 34% of the Lottery revenues must go to public education. This supplemental funding provides California schools with additional resources to meet their locally determined needs. Today, Lottery games are available through over 19,000 locations across the state of California and, since its inception, the Lottery has raised more than $15 billion for public education.Contacts
